Books and Magazines
There is no limit to the number of books or magazines that a patron may borrow at one time.
Unless otherwise stated, book circulation period is three weeks and magazine circulation is one week.
Materials may be renewed unless an item is on reserve.
Reference collection does not circulate except at the discretion of the staff.
Library fines for overdue books and magazines are 5 cents per day (with a maximum of $4 per item).
Patron will be charged up to replacement value for lost or damaged books or magazines.
Video Tapes and DVDs
Limit of five movies per young adult/adult library card.
Children under 16 may borrow one movie at a time. Children may not borrow movies on a parent’s card unless the parent gives permission.
Movies may be borrowed for a one-week period.
Fines for overdue movies are 50 cents per day with a maximum of $5 per item.
In the case of a tape or DVD breaking or malfunctioning, the patron will not be charged for replacement. Patron WILL be charged for replacement if a tape is lost or otherwise damaged.
Audio Books and CDs
Patrons may borrow as many audio books and CDs as they wish.
Audio books and CDs may be borrowed for a three-week period.
Fines for overdue audio books and CDs are 5 cents per day with a maximum of $4 per item.
In the case of a tape or CD breaking or malfunctioning, the patron will not be charged for replacement. Patron WILL be charged for replacement if a tape/cd (or portion of a set) is lost or otherwise damaged.
Inter-Library Loan
Interloan materials belong to other libraries and the patron is responsible for the safe and timely return of these items. If a patron does not return Interloans, they will be required to pay the bill submitted by the lending library. If patron fails to do so, all borrowing privileges will be suspended until payment has been made. Chronic abuse of Interloan service (late returns, etc.) can result in patron’s borrowing privileges being temporarily or permanently suspended.
